6 budget cuts so you can travel MORE!

When we decided we wanted to start traveling more, it didn’t take long to realize we had to make some changes! Here are some everyday things we cut from our budget that allow us more cash for travel!

1. ᔕKIᑭ ᘜIᖴTᔕ - for birthdays, Christmas, Easter, and all the others! We do experience gifts, tickets to and event/amusement park, an adventure on an upcoming trip, and so on! Don’t get me wrong, we do buy gifts sometimes, but most of the time we use this $$ on experiences!

2. ᑕᑌT OᑌT ᗴᖇᖇᗩᑎᗪᔕ - skip the in-store shopping where you can! I don’t know about you, but I spend so much more when I go into the store, especially if my kids are with me! ᗷOᑎᑌᔕ...this saves so much time! Instacart is THE best!

3. ᔕᕼOᑭ ᑕOᔕTᑕO - or any bulk store for groceries and be flexible! I’ll buy as much as I can at Costco because it is so much cheaper! Sunscreen, food, clothes, etc! Two quick examples: a pair of adidas pants for my boys $12 at Costco, $30+ at kohls! A bag of Cheetos at Kroger $4.49, at Costco (3x the size $4.99)

4. ᑌᔕᗴ ᗩᗰᗩᘔOᑎ ᑭᖇIᗰᗴ - I order any necessities I can’t get at Costco from Amazon! Notice that said “necessities”! Yes, this is hard.

5. ᔕKIᑭ Tᕼᗴ ᗰᗩᒪᒪ - or the online version of these stores! Clothes are so expensive, especially buying for six! I try to get as much as I can at Costco, love browsing TJ Max or Marshall’s, and will hit super sales at some of our fav brands on occasion! And, we’ve slimmed this down big time! I’ve shrunk down the size of each of our wardrobes!

6. ᑕᕼᗩᖇᘜᗴ IT - any expense you can! Find a good travel card and charge everything! Because…why not at least get something for spending your money, right? Use an airline card, like the Delta AmEx or a travel card such as Chase Sapphire Reserve and start earning those rewards! If you’re interested in these cards, here’s the links:
